Making a password for HP envy printer to make it private

I have my HP envy printer set up in my dorm room and would like to make it private from my roommates how do I do that?

@Ohboy3, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

You cannot assign a password to the printer itself. Anyone connected to the same network as the printer can access it. So, you will have to make the network secure.
