Hi @KGD1,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the "Menu access is disabled" message on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw typically means that access to the printer's settings menu has been restricted. This can prevent changes to network settings, which is why you can't reconnect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1. Check Printer Lock Settings:
- Administrator Settings: If your printer's menu access has been restricted by an administrator, you'll need to access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) to unlock it.
- To access the EWS:
- Connect the printer to a computer using a USB cable or Ethernet cable.
- Open a web browser on your computer.
- Enter the printer's IP address into the address bar (you can find the IP address on a configuration report if you have printed one before).
- If prompted, enter the administrator password (if set).
- Navigate to System > Administration > Menu Access Control.
- Set the "Menu Access" option to Enabled.
2. Reset Network Settings:
- If you are unable to access the EWS or do not have the administrator credentials, you may need to reset the network settings on the printer to reconnect it to your new Wi-Fi network:
- Power off the printer.
- Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer control panel.
- Power on the printer while still holding the buttons.
- Release the buttons after 10-15 seconds or when the printer starts up.
3. Reconnect the Printer to Your Wi-Fi Network:
- Once the network settings have been reset, use the HP Smart app or HP Easy Start software on your computer or mobile device to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network:
- Open the HP Smart app or HP Easy Start.
- Add a new printer by following the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted, enter your new Wi-Fi network name and password.
4. Restart Your Devices:
- After resetting and reconnecting your printer, restart your printer, router, and computer or mobile device to ensure that all devices are correctly communicating with each other.
If the "Menu access is disabled" message persists or you're unable to reset the network settings, you may need to perform a full factory reset on your printer. This will erase all settings and restore the printer to its original configuration:
5. Perform a Factory Reset:
- To perform a factory reset, consult the printer's manual or HP support for specific instructions. Note that a factory reset will remove all customized settings, including network configurations and preferences.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
