Hi @TTnovice,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP 4200e All-in-One series printer is showing a message that the Wi-Fi is turned off or that it is offline. This can typically happen when relocating and setting up on a new network or with a new Wi-Fi provider. Here are the steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check Wireless Settings

  • Turn on Wireless: Ensure that the wireless light or icon on the printer's front panel is turned on. If it's not, enable wireless: navigate to the wireless settings through the printer’s control panel and select the option to turn on Wi-Fi.

2. Reconfigure Wireless Setup

  • Wireless Setup Wizard:
    • Access the printer's control panel, and navigate to "Wireless" or "Network" settings.
    • Select "Wireless Setup Wizard" and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your new network. Make sure you select the correct network name (SSID) and enter the correct Wi-Fi password.

3. Printer and Network Connection

  • Network Test: From the control panel, print a Wireless Network Test Report. This can help identify issues with the network connection. The report will provide information about network status and potential issues.

  • Check Router Connection: Ensure the printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router. Restart the router to refresh connections.

4. Firewall and Security Settings

  • Disable Security Software Temporarily: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can block network connections. Temporarily disable these and attempt to reconnect the printer.

  • Configure Firewall for Printer Access: If disabling the software allows the printer to connect, configure your firewall to allow communications over the relevant ports for your printer.

5. Restart Devices

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer. Power them back on in that order and see if the connection resumes.

6. Switch Connection Method

  • USB Connection: Temporarily try connecting the printer to your computer via a USB cable to ensure it can still print. This can help determine if the issue is purely related to wireless connectivity.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
