Hi @test20251232,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP DeskJet 3700 printer was previously set up on another Wi-Fi network and is not connecting to your new Eero 7 router, which does not support WPS. Let’s go through steps to reconnect it.
1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
On the printer, press and hold the Cancel (X) + Wireless (Wi-Fi) buttons together for about 5 seconds.
This restores the printer’s network settings to default. The wireless light should start blinking, meaning it’s ready for setup.
2. Use HP Smart App for Setup (No WPS Needed)
Since your Eero 7 does not use WPS, you’ll need to use the HP Smart app:
Download HP Smart on your phone or PC (Windows 11, macOS, iOS, or Android).
Open the app and sign in (or create an HP account).
Click Add Printer → Set Up a New Printer.
The app should automatically detect your DeskJet 3700 (because it’s in setup mode).
Enter your new Wi-Fi credentials (SSID + password).
The printer will connect to your Eero 7 router.
3. Ensure Eero Router Settings Allow Connection
Make sure your Eero 7 is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network (many HP DeskJet models only work on 2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz or 6 GHz).
In the Eero app:
Go to Settings → Network → Advanced → 2.4 GHz Mode, and toggle it on if needed.
Retry setup while the 2.4 GHz mode is active.
4. If the Printer Still Doesn’t Show Up
Temporarily connect your PC/phone to the 2.4 GHz band of your Eero network.
Retry setup in HP Smart.
If still not detected, connect via USB cable, open HP Smart, and use the “Convert USB to Wireless” option.
5. Final Step
Once connected, print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s control panel to confirm it is on the new Eero 7 network.
I hope this helps.
