Hi @Kit-Kat1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with a printer that keeps going offline can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting your printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in. If you're using a wireless connection, make sure your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network.
- Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer, computer, and router can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off each device, wait a few seconds, then turn them back on in the following order: router, printer, computer.
- Update Drivers and Firmware: Ensure that your printer's drivers and firmware are up to date. You can usually find the latest versions on the HP website. Updating them might resolve compatibility issues causing the printer to go offline.
- Check Printer Settings: Access your printer's settings menu either through the control panel or the printer's web interface (if available). Make sure that the printer is set to online or connected to the correct network.
- Restart Print Spooler Service (Windows): If you're using a Windows computer, you can try restarting the Print Spooler service. Press Win + R, type "services.msc" and press Enter. Locate the Print Spooler service, right-click it, and select "Restart".
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: If updating drivers didn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer.
- Check for Interference: If you're using a wireless connection, interference from other electronic devices can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Move your printer and router to different locations to minimize interference.
- Reset Network Settings: If you're using a wireless connection, you can try resetting your printer's network settings to factory defaults and then reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue and get your HP DeskJet 4155e printer back online.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
