Printer finds other wireless networks, but not mine. Even if I enter the name, it does not find it

I tried doing a manual IP address settings, but it does not accept the entries. I typed  255.255.255.0 for subnet mask and it does not accept it. It tells me each number segment must be 255 or less, which is exactly what I typed.

Other people have had the same issue, but I cant find what the solution was if any was posted. Is there a way to upload new firmware using the USB connection? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Maurice

Did you make any recent changes in your wireless network setup like replacing the router?

The printer supports 2,4GHz wireless, and if you installed the new wi-fi router you need to make sure the 2,4GHz band is enabled and working.

No changes in wireless network. The problem started happening  a few days ago. It was taking forever to print, but it eventually printed. An hour ago, I printed the wireless configuration and it had the right wireless network in the printout. But it was still taking a long time to start printing. So I tried doing a full reset on the printer and now it does not find the right wireless network.

As far as I know, there were no changes made to my router since it was installed 2 years ago.

Thanks

Restore printer network to defaults, run a wireless setup wizard from the printers wireless setup menu.

Restore router, maybe it's blocking the printer access to wireless.

I tried all that already. Printer still cannot find the right network.

If the printer can find local ( neighbour) wireless then the problem is not in the printer it's something router related.

Can you create for testing purposes a guest network 2,4GHz band without a password to see will printer find and connect to it?

Well, it now found original network, but after I entered the password, it could not connect. So I created a guest network with a different password (I had to specify a password), and it accepted that and connected to it. However, when I tried to print, it took a long time again to actually print a few sentences. This was the original problem...taking forever to print.

So, at this time, I really think it is a hardware problem with the printer and not a network issue. If it is the network, then again it has to be in the printer I think since everything else works fine in my network.

Anyway, thanks for your help.
