My HP Envy 4520 that almost flawlessly worked for the last five years suddenly decided to not connect itself to the internet anymore.
It displays a connection to my router, but any action that requires a network connection is automatically stopped. It also does not recognize my HP Instant Ink cartridges anymore.
Neither my HP App nor the HP Smart desktop application recognize it to be online either.
Through trial and error, because the support is awful, I managed to print a diagnostics sheet where it says that the Gateway is not accessible,
What can I do to make it accessible and to be able to use my printer again, which I desperately need?
Btw, both the HP Print and Scan Doctor (which didn't start) and the HP Support Assistant (which did not only not find the printer registered in my HP Smart App but also is not able to recognize the serial number) are absolutely worthless and worsen the customer experience.

@Alphapex
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Are you getting any error message or codes?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- Prepare your printer for a wireless connection, restart the printer, computer, and router.
- Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
- Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
- Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
- Turn on the computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
