Until a week ago, my printer would print from my iPhone. Now the printer shows up but will not connect with my phone. Any help would be appreciated.

If your HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer was working with your iPhone until a week ago but is now having connection issues, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem.

 

Check Printer Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone.
  • Restart both the printer and your iPhone.

Update Firmware/Software:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates on the HP support website or through the printer's control panel.
  • Update the HP Smart app on your iPhone to the latest version from the App Store.

Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi:

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  • Find your Wi-Fi network and tap the (i) icon next to it.
  • Tap "Forget This Network."
  • Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network and enter the password if prompted.

Reset Network Settings on iPhone:

  • On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset.
  • Tap "Reset Network Settings."
  • This will reset Wi-Fi settings, including saved networks. You'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:

  • Ensure that any firewall or antivirus software on your computer is not blocking the communication between the iPhone and the printer.

Printer App Settings:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone.
  • Check the app settings to ensure the correct printer is selected.
  • If there's an option to refresh or discover printers, try using it.

Restart Router:

  • Power off your Wi-Fi router for a few seconds, then power it back on. Wait for it to fully restart before attempting to print again.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Delete the HP Smart app from your iPhone.
  • Reinstall the app from the App Store.
  • Open the app and set up your printer again.

 

By going through these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the connectivity issues between your iPhone and the HP ENVY 5660 printer.
