My HP Envy Photo 7855 control panel is frozen - only the HP logo with 7 dots beneath it is displayed. I'm unable to access any functions on the control panel and I've already attempted all the suggested troubleshooting and resetting by unplugging, holding down power button, resetting router, utilizing all HP Smart diagnostic/troubleshooting tools, etc. NOTHING. I need a solution, please, and thank you.

Hi @darkchild360,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy Photo 7855 control panel is frozen and you've already tried the usual troubleshooting steps without success, you might consider the following options.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Hard Reset:

  • While the printer is on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer while holding down the power button. Keep the button pressed for about 15 seconds before releasing it.

Firmware Update:

  • If you can access the printer's settings via the HP Smart app or the HP website, check if there's a firmware update available and apply it.

Service Mode:

  • Some users have found success by entering service mode. Unfortunately, this often requires specific button combinations, which may vary by model. You can try the following:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Turn it back on while simultaneously holding down the “Cancel” and “Wi-Fi” buttons until you see the service menu.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
