Two situations I have run into in the past:
1. Duplicate IP address on your network
2. Connecting via 5Ghz wireless. Not all printers play well on 5Ghz and often the solution is to create a separate 2.4Ghz SSID and only allow the printer to connect to a 2.4Ghz channel.
