My HP Officejet Pro 8035e printer can't find my WiFi Router.
It's scanning all other far away routers but not mine.
Please help me understand what I'm missing.

@srisaro9991, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Officejet Pro 8035e!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e is having trouble detecting your WiFi router. Here are a few things you can check and try:
1. Check Router Settings
- 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz: Many printers, including the HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e, only support 2.4GHz networks. If your router is set to 5GHz only, the printer won’t detect it. Try enabling the 2.4GHz band in your router settings.
- SSID (WiFi Name) Broadcast: Ensure your router's SSID (network name) is not hidden. A hidden network won’t appear in the printer’s WiFi list.
- Channel Selection: Set your 2.4GHz WiFi channel to 1, 6, or 11, as these channels reduce interference.
2. Restart Everything
- Power cycle your router and printer (Turn them off, wait 30 seconds, and turn them back on).
- Restart your computer and any connected devices.
3. Move Closer & Reduce Interference
- Place the printer closer to the router and try connecting again.
- Remove potential interference sources like microwaves, baby monitors, or Bluetooth devices.
4. Manually Connect Printer to WiFi
If the network is still not showing, try manually entering the WiFi details:
- On the printer's touchscreen, go to Setup > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
- If your network doesn’t appear, select Enter SSID Manually and type your WiFi name and password.
- Make sure you enter the exact SSID and correct password (case-sensitive).
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Download the latest firmware from the HP Support website and install it via USB or HP Smart App.
6. Check for MAC Address Filtering
- If your router has MAC address filtering enabled, it might be blocking your printer. Either disable filtering or add your printer’s MAC address to the allowed list.
7. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer to diagnose and fix network issues.
Try these steps, and let me know if your printer can detect your WiFi! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
