HP Smart Tank 581 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Today is the third day I cannot make my printer connect to the computer or iphone to perform printing tasks.   Everytime I try a msg rises saying "There are no Airprint printers" or it tries "obtaining status of the remote printer" and that msg doesn´t obtain any status. Stays like that.

It is important to point out that I changed my internet server 5 days ago and since than the printer does not do its job.  And I don´t know how to check where to configure and connect the printer to the new server.   I think that may be the origin of the problem.

I already printed almost 30 times the HP instructions (the printer does it when I push some buttons automatically  and nothing read in the trouble solutions worked.

I kindly ask for urgent help! Tryed to contact HP in Brasil to pay for help and also  cannot get thru.     Thanks for any help I can find here.  Maidi

Welcome to the HP English Community --

Yes, changing the router / configuration on the router can surely result in changes or disconnection on the printer side.

Reminder to those reading:

The printer only supports 2.4GHz connection.

After you restore the printer's network defaults,

Connect the printer to your network as you have done in the past.

The following might apply --

If your new ISP (Internet Service Provider) is providing you a dual band network, that is, a network that supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, know that this printer only supports connection to the 2.4GHz frequency.

If can be done,

On the router --

Separate the two frequencies into two SSID named networks, one SSID network for the 2.4GHz band and the other SSID network for the 5GHz band.

Connect the printer to the 2.4GHz SSID network.

If you need help, contact your ISP and ask that they create separate SSID named networks for each frequency.

Example – EWS Setup – IPv4

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

As Available:
