Hi @NicoleF4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Smart Tank 7600 series is canceling print jobs mid-way or printing only half a page, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
Check for Paper Jams or Blockages
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that could interrupt the print process.
Restart the Printer and Computer
- Power off the printer and unplug it for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in. Restart your computer as well.
Check Printer Queue
- Ensure there are no stuck jobs in the print queue that could be causing the printer to halt. You can clear any pending print jobs in the printer queue through the printer settings on your computer.
Update Printer Drivers
- Make sure the printer drivers and HP Smart software are up-to-date. You can visit the HP support website to download the latest drivers or use HP Smart to check for updates.
Check Ink Levels and Printhead
- Ensure the ink levels are adequate and check for any issues with the printhead. Sometimes, clogged or malfunctioning printheads can cause incomplete printing.
Perform Printer Diagnostic
- Run the built-in printer diagnostics or use the HP Smart app to check for any reported errors or issues.
Network Connectivity
- If the printer is connected over Wi-Fi, ensure the connection is stable. A weak or intermittent connection could cause print jobs to cancel unexpectedly. Try switching to a wired connection to see if that resolves the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
