My phone and printer no longer work together. It shows up as an option in Airprint but spins and never gives me the option to print. When I use the HP Smart app, it shows the printer as an option but doesn't print.
It works fine on my Windows computer, my wife's Windows computer and her iPhone

Hi @Uelk,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-In-One Printer is having trouble communicating with your iPhone specifically.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Restart Devices:
- Restart your iPhone and the printer. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
Check Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure that both your iPhone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, devices on different networks may not communicate properly.
Update Firmware and Apps: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure your iPhone's iOS is up to date.
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer and install it.
- Update the HP Smart app on your iPhone to the latest version.
Reset Network Settings on iPhone:
- Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset your Wi-Fi networks and passwords, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network after this step.
Reinstall HP Smart App:
- Delete the HP Smart app from your iPhone and reinstall it from the App Store.
AirPrint Troubleshooting:
- Ensure that AirPrint is enabled on your printer. You can usually find this in the printer's settings or web interface.
- Check if your printer is listed as an AirPrint printer in the Apple support list of AirPrint-enabled printers.
Check Printer IP Address:
- Sometimes, the printer's IP address may change, causing connectivity issues. Print a network configuration page from your printer to check the IP address and make sure your iPhone is on the same subnet.
Disable IPv6 on Printer:
- Go to your printer’s network settings and disable IPv6. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi on Printer:
- On your printer, forget the current Wi-Fi network and reconnect to it. This can help refresh the connection.
Reset Printer's Network Settings:
- On the printer, go to Settings > Network > Restore Network Settings to reset the network settings, then reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
