My computer is finding my printer, even sending the PIN but after i type it in, the connection fails

 

I have done all the troubleshooting steps

Printer is HP envy 8500 series and Warrant expired in 2020 but printer stille works great and is connected to my other laptop without issues

There are several 8500 printers, which one do you have?

You mentioned that your other laptop connects fine.  

Please configure the printer to connect to the modem or router and not directly to the laptop.  Possibly one of your laptops is using the 2.4ghz band and the other one is using the 5ghz band.   Alternately, the WiFi encryption mode (wpa 1, 2 or 3) used by the printer is not available for one of the laptops.
