Hi @Prashantika, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP Smart Tank 580-590 series printer to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using HP Smart App (Recommended)
Reset Wi-Fi Settings on Printer
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (🛜) and the Cancel button (⛔) together for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
- This puts the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode.
Install or Open HP Smart App
- Download and install HP Smart on your Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS device.
- Ensure your computer or mobile is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
Add the Printer to HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart and click "+" to add a new printer.
- Select your printer from the list (it should be in setup mode).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the Wi-Fi details and connect the printer.
Method 2: Manual Wi-Fi Connection Using WPS
If your router has a WPS button, you can connect using this method:
- Press the WPS button on your router (hold for 3-5 seconds).
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (🛜) on the printer for about 5 seconds until it starts blinking.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes until the printer connects to the Wi-Fi.
- Once connected, the Wi-Fi light should turn solid blue.
Method 3: Using Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Find the Printer’s IP Address:
- Print a Network Configuration Page by pressing and holding the Information (ℹ️) button until all buttons light up, then press the Information (ℹ️) and Cancel (⛔) buttons together.
- Look for the IP Address under "Wireless" or "Network".
Access the Printer’s Web Interface:
- Open a browser and enter the IP Address in the address bar.
- Go to Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Ensure your router’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is enabled (This printer only supports 2.4GHz connection)
