Hi @msa981,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing several connectivity issues with your HP LaserJet M111w printer and your Android phone. Let's address each issue step by step.

Printer Not Connecting to Android Phone:

Ensure the printer is properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android phone, as the HP LaserJet M111w uses Wi-Fi for mobile printing (it doesn't support Bluetooth printing).

  • Check Printer Status:
    • Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi light should be steady, not blinking.
    • Restart both your Android phone and the printer.
  • Connect via HP Smart App:
    • Install the HP Smart app from the Google Play Store.
    • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your phone.

Printer Not Showing in Preview or Printing:

This could be due to compatibility issues or miscommunication between the phone and the printer. Follow these steps:

Clear App Cache:

  • Go to your phone's settings > Apps > HP Smart > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.

Re-add Printer in HP Smart:

  • Open the HP Smart app again and re-add your printer by tapping on the "+" icon.
  • Once added, try previewing and printing again.

Print via Android Printing Service:

  • Go to Settings > Connections > Printing > Default Print Service. Ensure the "Default Print Service" or "HP Print Service" is enabled.
  • Try printing a document or image through this service to see if it connects.

Bluetooth Pairing Not Working:

The HP LaserJet M111w doesn't support Bluetooth connectivity for printing. If you're trying to pair via Bluetooth, this won't work. It only supports Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi printing.

"Printer is Not Available" Message:

This issue typically occurs when there's a network or Wi-Fi communication problem. Here's how to troubleshoot:

Ensure Both Devices Are on the Same Network:

  • Your Android phone and the printer should both be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If using Wi-Fi Direct, make sure it's enabled on the printer and your phone is connected directly to the printer's Wi-Fi signal.

Restart Network Devices:

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router. This can refresh the connection between the printer, phone, and network.

Update HP Smart and Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure both the HP Smart app and your printer firmware are up to date. You can check the HP Smart app for firmware updates, or visit HP’s support site for your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
