I am able to print a Printer Status Report but nothing else. The printer is online. I can see a wireless job show up in the printer queue but it won’t print. It just says “printing” and keeps spinning but it never prints. I do have non hp cartridges in, but they are the same cartridges that were in when it was working. I’ve tried to substitute the same brand cartridge and it says “the printer has blocked the cartridge” since it doesn’t have a chip.

I'd like to help!

 

Hp always recommends using HP genuine ink cartridges. 

 

Please follow this document and see how it goes. If that does not help,

 

You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.

 

There are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.
