Microsoft Windows 11

My HP 9025 all-in-one printer had been working fine.  But recently it somehow got disconnected from my network. And I have tried all kinds of things, but do not see a simple way to get it to reconnect to my wifi network.  Here is what I have ALREADY tried:
-turning off the printer, waiting, and turning it on again

-When nothing else worked, I uninstalled the printer from my "Printers & Scanners" (finding that it was on there, in duplicate, three times).  But now I cannot re-install it.
-The big issue remains that somehow I cannot connect the printer to my wifi network.
- I went to an official HP link, whose URL this forum will oddly not let me post, and followed instructions to "Print with Wifi Direct (Windows)"  - Step 1: Get the Wi-Fi Direct printer name and password; Step 2: In Windows, search for and open Printers and scanners.; Step 3: Click Add a printer or scanner, and then click Show Wi-Fi Direct printers.; Step 4: Select your printer starting with DIRECT in the name and followed by the model name.; Step 5: Click Add device, and then wait for a PIN to print or display on the printer control panel.; Step 6: Enter the WPS PIN within 90 seconds, and then click Next to complete the connection."

-But then after I did all of that step #7 says "If a Driver is unavailable status message displays after entering the PIN," - which it does for me, "go to 123 dot hp dot com to download and install the print driver." But that just recommends that I install HP Smart, which I already have installed for this printer.
-All these things online say that HP Smart can supposedly help me get my printer online.  But when I open HP Smart, it just says that my printer is offline, and I need to get it online.  But HOW, if not through HP Smart???!

-While the printer's own control panel is confusing, I was able to turn WiFi Direct on.  But somehow, that does not work to actually connect me!!

Please help!  How do I get my printer back online, so it is on my home wifi network and my devices can connect to it again??
