ENVY 6000

Hello, My printer an ENVY 6000 series does not have a front led panel. It worked perfectly on 16th January 2023, over wifi. That evening there was a Windows update, following that the printer lost its wifi connection, and is now permantly off line, I have gone through all the suggestions given by the virtual assistant to no avail. HP Doctor and diagnose, fails to correct the fault HP Smart app fails to correct the problem. The printer has been uninstalled and now when I go to setting ADD PRINTER the PC (Windows 10) fails to find the printer. In desperation I have ordered a hard wire cable to connect the printer via USB.

I have also tried to get the printer working by uninstalling the Windows Update again to no avail. Any suggestions ?

Hi @JimboGSD,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Try the following steps and see how it goes.

Reset the printer and update the firmware to help prevent the issue from happening again in the future.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Wait 60 seconds.

Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

NOTE:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Wait for the light bar to turn blue-white or white.

Update the printer firmware. For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading the Printer Firmware.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
