Hi @Dromnia,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Smart Tank 516 printer is unable to connect to Wi-Fi, especially after changing your router, here are the steps you can follow to reconnect it.

Reset the Printer's Network Settings:

  • Power on your printer.
  • Navigate to the printer’s control panel. Look for the Setup or Settings menu.
  • Select Network or Wireless settings, then choose Restore Network Settings. Confirm the action if prompted. This will erase the previous Wi-Fi settings.

Connect to the New Wi-Fi Network:

  • After resetting, go back to the Network settings.
  • Choose the option to set up a wireless connection. Your printer should begin searching for available networks.
  • Once your new Wi-Fi network appears in the list, select it and enter your Wi-Fi password.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • Install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device if you haven't already.
  • Open the app and add your printer. The app will guide you through the process of connecting your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.

Check for Interference:

  • Ensure that your printer is within range of the Wi-Fi signal and that there are no obstacles interfering with the connection.

Reboot Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and the device you're using to connect to the printer. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
