My instantink printer has not been in contact with HP servers since aug 29, 2021 6:08 PM
Before that it has worked without any troubles since the initial connect in 2019.
There has been no changes in my LAN, internet connection, setup of the printer nor my HP account.


When I log on to https://instantink.hpconnected.com/ the status in the upper left corner says "Online", but in the upper right corner it tells it cannot connect to the printer. Try again later.

I have verified that the printer serial number and mail address is identical at https://instantink.hpconnected.com/ and in the printer.

 

When I use the browser to connect to the printer's Embedded Web Server using the LAN IP address e.g. 192.168.1.101, I can connect to the printer without any troubles and "Network Summary" reads "Connected".

I connect to the printer and to https://instantink.hpconnected.com/ using the same LAN.
This means if my PC can connect to HP, then the printer can do so.

 

In case my ISP should have closed any port used by the printer or some firewall should be blocking the printers communication, I have tested on a completely different internet connection: Different ISP, different network equipment, different anything but the printer.


I have placed the printer next to the wifi box and read in the printer display that it got a strong signal.

 

I have since late september tried to fix the problems an endless number of times.

I have read a lot of error discriptions and solutions from users having identicals troubles.
They fall into three categories: Simple mistakes, new terms and condition needing accept and printer time/date out of sync.
I cannot find any time and date in the Embedded Web Server nor using the printer display.
I have been in all menus and submenus in the Embedded Web in the printer's display and at https://instantink.hpconnected.com/ to look for any confirm dialog. No luck.


I have managed to make the printer download and install latest firmware, which it did not do automatically.

 

What am I missing?
