Hi @Deborah-Lou_H,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When your HP Deskjet 3772 printer connects to the Wi-Fi network but indicates "no internet," it suggests that the printer is successfully communicating with the local network but is unable to access the internet. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Check Network Configuration

Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network is functioning properly.

Restart Your Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug your router.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug in the router and wait for it to fully restart.
  • Turn on your printer.

Verify Network Connection:

  • Print a network configuration page from your printer's control panel. This will provide details about the printer's connection to the network.

2. Reconfigure Wireless Settings

If the printer is not correctly configured for your Wi-Fi network, you'll need to reconnect it.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button simultaneously to print a network configuration page.
  • Use the HP Smart app or the HP Print and Scan Doctor to reconnect the printer to the network.

Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your router.

3. Update Printer Firmware

Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues.

  1. Check for Updates:
    • Visit the HP Support website.
    • Enter your printer model and look for firmware updates.

4. Check Printer and Network Settings

Static IP Address:

  • Assign a static IP address to your printer. This can prevent IP conflicts and ensure consistent connectivity.

DNS Settings:

  • Manually set the DNS settings on your printer to use Google’s DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

5. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

HP provides a utility to diagnose and fix connectivity issues.

  1. Download and Run the Tool:
    • Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP Support site.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.

6. Check Firewall and Security Settings

Sometimes, firewall settings can block the printer from accessing the internet.

Router Settings:

  • Access your router’s settings through its web interface.
  • Ensure that the router’s firewall is not blocking the printer.

Computer Firewall:

  • If you have a firewall on your computer, ensure it’s not blocking the printer software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
