Hi @DarleneD25,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
What is the current version OS you are using on your phone?
If your printer is connected to Wi-Fi but you cannot connect your cellphone to the HP Smart app, here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Ensure Printer and Phone are on the Same Network
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure both your printer and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Network Settings: Double-check the Wi-Fi network settings on both devices to ensure they match.
2. Restart Devices
- Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Restart Phone: Restart your phone to refresh the network connections.
- Restart Router: If possible, restart your Wi-Fi router to clear any network issues.
3. Update the HP Smart App
- Check for Updates: Go to the app store on your phone and check for updates for the HP Smart app. Make sure you have the latest version installed.
4. Reinstall the HP Smart App
- Uninstall the App: Uninstall the HP Smart app from your phone.
- Reinstall the App: Go to the app store, search for HP Smart, and reinstall the app.
5. Reconfigure Wi-Fi on the Printer
- Printer Control Panel: On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Network or Wireless settings.
- Reconfigure Wi-Fi: Select Wireless Setup Wizard (or a similar option) and follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Kindly find the next steps in the next post.
