Hi @kevinc72,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering a loop where your printer prompts you to enroll in the HP ink plan, and then gets stuck on printing the alignment page without proceeding further. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Ensure Ink Plan Enrollment: Double-check your enrollment status in the HP ink plan. Log in to your HP Instant Ink account online or through the HP Smart app to verify that your printer is correctly enrolled and that the cartridges are recognized as part of the plan. If there are any discrepancies, contact HP support for assistance.
Reset Printer: Perform a reset on your printer to clear any temporary issues or errors. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. After the printer restarts, see if it proceeds past the alignment page prompt.
Skip Alignment Page: If the printer continues to get stuck on the alignment page prompt, try skipping the alignment process. Press the "Cancel" or "Stop" button on the printer's control panel to cancel the alignment request. You may be able to bypass this step and proceed to normal printing.
Check Printer Software: Ensure that your printer software and drivers are up-to-date. Visit the HP website and download/install the latest software package for your printer model. Sometimes, outdated software can cause compatibility issues and errors.
Run Printhead Alignment Manually: If you're able to access the printer's settings menu, try running the printhead alignment process manually. Look for the printhead alignment option in the printer's menu or settings and follow the on-screen instructions to align the printheads.
It seems like your HP printer is configured to work with HP Instant Ink. I will need a few additional details to help you with this.
I request you to share all the details in a private message.
