HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-in-One Printer

Why does my printer keep going offline? Can we troubleshoot this so that it will stop happening. This is extremely annoying.

It is taking too long to wake up from sleep.

Maybe this might be helpful

Not the same model but possible has schedule settings.

Click here to see an example of turning off sleep but it may not work on those eco efficient tree-hugger printers.

You may need to press the online button to speed it working up.

If none of the above work then try printing directly to the printer.  I assume you have the printer connected to the router's Wi-Fi.  Possibly the router has trouble waking up the printer.   Do you have Wi-Fi repeaters or boosters?

Wi-Fi Direct can be used to avoid configuring the router. Watch this: 6xxx
Wi-Fi Direct is explained on page 31 of the User Manual, this Wi-Fi setup avoids configuring the router.

let me know what you find out.
