Hi @83Alyssa,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Tango X printer is showing as "unavailable" and not connecting to Wi-Fi, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly and that other devices can connect to it.
  • Ensure that the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, router, and computer or mobile device. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
  • Go to the Wi-Fi settings and follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • You might need to enter your Wi-Fi password again.

Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check for updates using the HP Smart app or the printer’s web interface.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your HP Smart app or computer.
  • Re-add the printer by following the setup instructions in the app or using the printer’s control panel.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On your printer, navigate to the network settings and perform a network reset. This will clear old settings and allow you to set up the connection afresh.

Check Printer's IP Address:

  • Ensure the printer is obtaining an IP address from your router. You can usually find this information on the printer's network settings page.

Disable VPN or Firewall:

  • If you’re using a VPN or firewall, it might be blocking the connection. Temporarily disable them to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
