@Jsa73, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

If your HP ENVY 6455e printer isn’t connecting to your Wi-Fi, here are some steps to help get it back online:

Restart Everything

  • Power off your printer, router, and computer/mobile device.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn on the router first, followed by the printer and your device.

Check Wi-Fi Requirements

  • Make sure your printer is within 6–8 feet of the router.
  • The printer supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi only.
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is not hidden and doesn’t require a captive portal (like in hotels or cafes).

Reset Printer Network Settings

To start fresh:

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds until the Power light blinks.
  • This resets the wireless settings.

Use HP Smart App/HP App to Reconnect

  • Download or open the HP Smart on your phone or PC.
  • Tap “+” to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen steps to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi.

If prompted, enable Bluetooth and location on your phone to help the app detect the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates

  • In the HP Smart app, go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Tools > Printer Updates and install any available updates.
