I’m trying to connect my hp all in one printer to the internet. I don’t know why it ever lost signal and have followed the instructions at least 4 times to reconnect. Please help. It’s a 6055e

Here are steps you can follow to troubleshoot and fix the connectivity issue with your HP 6055e All-in-One Printer:

 

Check Network Status:

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working correctly and your internet service is active.
  • Verify that other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router.
  • Disconnect the power cord from your router, wait for 10 seconds, and then reconnect it. Allow the router to restart completely.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon or go to the Network settings menu.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Advanced Troubleshooting Steps

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates using the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.

Check Printer Network Settings:

  • Make sure that your printer is set to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi signal strength is strong. Move the printer closer to your router if necessary.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Open the app, select your printer, and follow the instructions to connect the printer to your network.
