Microsoft Windows 11

The wireless printing will not respond since changing internet providers. The old service has been deleted, the new wireless connections have been made, but the printer will not print wirelessly. The test reports says that the wireless mode is not turned on, yet the printer indicated a solid blue wireless which means that the wireless is on.

I have looked at various options provided to other HP printer users, but none seem to be appropriate for my printer. I desperately need to talk with a person from HP that can help with my problem. This printer has something wrong, internally, and probably needs to be replaced. I need HP to honor the warranty and fix my issues. Please provide a working phone number for support.

Hi @Donna62748,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP printer may need to be reconfigured to connect to your new wireless network. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Reconfigure the Printer's Wireless Connection

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer, go to the setup or network settings menu and select the option to restore network settings to their default.

Reconnect to the Wireless Network:

  • Using the printer’s control panel, navigate to the wireless setup wizard.
  • Select your new wireless network from the list and enter the new password.
  • Ensure the printer successfully connects to the network (you should see a solid blue wireless light).

Verify the Connection:

  • Print a network configuration or wireless test report from your printer’s menu to ensure it’s connected to the correct network.

Update Printer Software

Download HP Smart App:

  • Install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. This app can help with the setup process.
  • Follow the prompts in the app to add your printer and connect it to your wireless network.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.

Troubleshoot Wireless Issues

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure your router is not blocking the printer’s connection (check MAC address filtering if enabled).
  • Make sure your network is using a compatible frequency (most modern HP printers work with 2.4 GHz networks).

Reboot Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and router to clear any temporary issues.

Firewall/Security Settings:

  • Ensure that your firewall or security software is not blocking the printer.

These steps should help resolve the wireless connectivity issue with your HP printer

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
