Hey Guys so I recently switched my wifi network to 5G, and for some reason my printer hp envy 4504 doesn’t connect with this wireless network. Although it recognises it every time I put the password it says connection failed. I have tried restarting both the printer and modem but still refuses to work . So I switched up the MGhz to 2.4 from 5 thinking maybe it was that but it still doesn’t work. Does anyone know how can go about this because it was working just fine when I was on the Optus wifi connection but since I switched to Vodafone this problem started .

Yes - this printer only connects to 2.4GHz.

Dual Band Network
If your router supports it,
Create a separate SSID named network for each frequency (5GHz and 2.4GHz).
Connect the printer to the SSID network on the frequency / band you want it to use.
Reminder: Some printers only support 2.4GHz
In general,
- 2.4GHz is less fussy about obstacles and supports a longer distance between router and device (printer)
- 5GHz is faster

The User Guide provides the network basics and even some detail on how to connect the printer.
If you are already fairly comfortable with the setup, start on / near Page 53.
If you need / want to do so, Restore the printer network to defaults.
Page 7
1. Press the Wireless button to access the Wireless Status menu.
2. Press the button next to Settings to access the Wireless Settings menu.
3. Select Restore Defaults.
4. Confirm selection to restore defaults
What else?
If the printer is on the network at all and you can identify the IP address it is using (check the router), you might be able to use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view, adjust, and configure your printer.
EWS > HP Document / How-to
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > IPv4 Configuration
As Available:
Tab Network > Wireless (802.11) > Advanced
Network Interface on / off, Network SSID name, Security Settings, Passphrase / Password
In Advanced
Select and connect to the correct SSID / network name for the bandwidth you are using.
Example - EWS - Network - IPv4 Configuration
EWS_9025_Network_IPv4_Configuration_3

Consider assigning a manual / static IP address to the printer.
