Hi @SSBrink1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To troubleshoot your HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer showing as offline, follow these steps.

Restart Devices

  1. Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
  2. Restart the Computer: Restart your Dell Inspiron 15 3000 laptop.
  3. Restart the Router: If your printer is connected via WiFi, restart your router.

Check Printer Connection

  1. WiFi Connection:
    • Ensure the printer is connected to the same WiFi network as your laptop.
    • On the printer control panel, go to Network Settings and verify the WiFi status.
    • Print a Wireless Network Test Report to check connectivity.
  2. USB Connection:
    • If using a USB cable, ensure it is securely connected to both the printer and the laptop.

Set Printer as Default

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP ENVY 5055 printer and select Set as default printer.

Clear Print Queue

  1. Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Double-click your HP ENVY 5055 printer to open the print queue.
  3. Right-click and cancel all pending print jobs.

Restart Print Spooler Service

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  2. Right-click your HP ENVY 5055 printer and select Remove device.
  3. Visit the HP Support Website and download the latest drivers for your printer.
  4. Install the drivers and follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  2. Run the utility and follow the instructions to diagnose and fix the issue.

Check Printer Status

  1. Open Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Click on your HP ENVY 5055 printer and select Open queue.
  3. Ensure the printer is not set to Use Printer Offline.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider performing a factory reset on the printer and setting it up again from scratch.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
