@Phbcontractor, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Ethernet-connected HP Printer Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Smart Tank 7600 printer is connected via Ethernet and you've been experiencing issues despite it showing connectivity, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
Check the IP Address:
- Make sure your printer’s IP address is correctly set up. You can check this by printing a Network Configuration Report; this option is often available on the printer's control panel or via the HP Embedded Web Server.
Verify Network Connection:
- Ensure your printer is connected to the network you are trying to print from. Double-check Ethernet cables and connections to ensure there's no physical disruption.
Update Printer Driver:
- Make sure you have the latest printer driver. You can download it from HP’s official support website at support.hp.com.
Use the HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app and ensure it recognizes the printer. Ensure both the printer and your device are on the same network.
Check Printer Queue:
- Ensure there are no print jobs stuck in the queue. Open the printer queue from your computer and clear any pending tasks.
Restart Both Printer and Router:
- Sometimes simply restarting your printer and router can resolve network-related issues.
Network Settings Reset:
- Consider resetting the network settings on your printer to default and setting it up again.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
