@Judy312, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wireless Connection Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Verify Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer and router are powered on.
- Make sure your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and there are no physical obstructions blocking the signal.
Check Printer Wireless Settings:
- Access the printer’s control panel and check the wireless settings to ensure it’s connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
Check for Updates:
- Make sure that your printer firmware is updated to the latest version. You can check for updates through the HP Support website or via the HP Smart app.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer, router, and laptop. Wait a few seconds and then turn them back on. This can resolve temporary connectivity issues.
Reconfigure Wireless Settings:
- Reset the printer's network settings to default and reconfigure the wireless connection. This can sometimes resolve connection issues if settings were improperly configured.
Network Configuration Report:
- Print a network configuration report from the printer’s control panel. This report will indicate whether the printer is connected to the network and provide important network information such as IP address.
Wi-Fi Direct Connection:
- If available, use the Wi-Fi Direct feature to connect your printer directly to your laptop or mobile device without needing a router.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
