I genereated a pdf from a program and sent it to this printer. It did not print about about 1/4" of the left side of content. It isn't the program because when i send it to my older printer, it prints just fine.

Hi @Bubby2020,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 4252e All-in-One Printer is not printing the left edge of your PDF, the issue could be related to printer settings, page margins, or the specific configuration used when printing the document. Here's how to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
Check Page Margins:
- Ensure that the margins in your PDF or the program you're using are not too close to the edge of the paper. The printer may have limitations on how close it can print to the edge.
- Try adjusting the margins in the PDF or program to give more space on the left side.
Adjust Printer Settings:
- Go to the Print dialog box when you print your PDF.
- Check the settings for Page Scaling or Fit to Page:
- Fit to Page: This setting might slightly reduce the size of the printed content to ensure everything fits within the printable area.
- Page Scaling: Ensure it’s not set to a custom scale that could cause the left edge to be cut off.
- Ensure that Borderless Printing (if available) is enabled if you want to print closer to the edges.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with certain documents.
- You can update drivers from the HP Support website.
Test with Different PDFs:
- Try printing different PDFs to see if the issue persists across various documents.
- This can help determine if the problem is specific to the original PDF or a general issue.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically detect and fix any issues with your printer.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- This can sometimes resolve minor glitches that could be causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
