Hi @MELOUEL97,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy Pro 6455 printer is having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi network and you need the Wi-Fi password, here’s how you can find or manage it:
1. Check the Printer's Network Settings
Print Network Configuration Page:
- On the HP Envy Pro 6455, you can print a Network Configuration Page which typically includes network settings.
- On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless icon (it looks like a signal icon).
- Select Settings (gear icon) or Network Settings.
- Choose Print Network Configuration Page.
- Check the printed page for details about the current network settings.
- Navigate to the Wireless settings on the printer’s control panel.
- Look for an option related to Wi-Fi Direct or Wi-Fi settings which might provide the network name (SSID) and details.
2. Find the Wi-Fi Password on Your Router
- Find your wireless router where your internet connection is coming from.
- Many routers have a label on the bottom or side that includes the default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. This might be labeled as “WPA Key,” “WPA2 Key,” or “Wireless Password.”
- If you can’t find the password on the router itself, you can access your router’s settings:
- Open a web browser on a device connected to your network.
- Enter the router’s IP address in the address bar (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Log in with the router’s admin credentials (default username and password might be “admin/admin” or “admin/password” if you haven’t changed them).
- Navigate to the wireless settings section to find the Wi-Fi password.
3. Use HP Smart App to Connect
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet from the app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the setup instructions. The app will guide you through connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- During the setup, the app might ask you to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
4. Manually Connect the Printer:
- On the printer, go to the Wireless settings.
- Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard.
5. Check Printer Documentation
- Refer to the HP Envy Pro 6455 printer manual for detailed instructions on setting up the printer on a Wi-Fi network.
6. Reset Printer Network Settings
- If you’re having trouble connecting, you might want to reset the printer’s network settings to default and start the setup process again:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
- Reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection using the steps above.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
