Product: HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I have a HP Deskjet 2755e printer that’s wireless (It uses WiFi) and recently it doesn’t connect to the WiFi. I don’t know why it doesn’t connect anymore since I was able to use it weeks ago. Note - I live in Florida and there have been storms so I assume that it lost its WiFi connection after the power went out.

 

I looked up online how to reconnect the WiFi:

  • I tried unplugging my printer and replugging it and it doesn’t connect.
  • I tried resetting the router & modem (I unplugged them and replugged again) and it still doesn’t connect.
  • I even moved the printer out of my room(Which is nearby my computer) and moved it closer to router & modem and it still doesn’t connect to WiFi.

I have no idea what I’m doing wrong so I asking what do I have to do to get my printer to connect to WiFi so I can use it again.

The printer supports both the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz band.
You may want to force the printer to use only one band. This can prevent it from getting a different IP address depending on the band it connects to. What this video to see how to set the band.

Bypass setup cartridge 2775

You can get the PIN and any passwords from a printer report as described on page 9 of the users manual.
Page 22 shows how to use the WPS or push button method but you need access to the modem to be able to do this.
