Hi @johncatt4,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reset the Wi-Fi password on your HP ENVY 6055e printer, you need to reconnect the printer to the new Wi-Fi network with the updated password. Here are the steps to do that:

Method 1: Using the HP Smart App

  1. Ensure the Printer is Powered On: Make sure your HP ENVY 6055e printer is turned on.
  2. Download and Open the HP Smart App: If you don't already have it, download the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices as well as Windows and macOS computers.
  3. Connect Your Device to the Same Network: Make sure your smartphone or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.
  4. Open the HP Smart App:
    • Open the app and click on the + sign to add a new printer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to put the printer in setup mode. This usually involves pressing the Wi-Fi button or Wi-Fi Direct button on the printer.
  5. Find and Select Your Printer: The app should detect your printer. Select it to proceed with the setup.
  6. Enter the New Wi-Fi Password: Follow the prompts to enter the new Wi-Fi network password.
  7. Complete the Setup: Continue following the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process. The printer should connect to the new Wi-Fi network with the updated password.

Method 2: Using the Printer's Control Panel

  1. Reset Network Settings:
    • On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button together for about 3 seconds. This will reset the network settings.
  2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
    • After resetting, the Wi-Fi light will start blinking. This means the printer is in setup mode.
  3. Connect Using HP Smart App:
    • Follow the steps above to reconnect the printer using the HP Smart app.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
