My new HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e printer's WiFi is set up, active, and strong signal strength. My Windows 10 system's WiFi Network is set up and active. I have no problem printing to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 (Network) printer on the same WiFi Network.
Opening Microsoft Windows Devise Manager, the Printer folder has the 8710 printer, but not the 8139e printer. The 8139e printer is in the Print Queue folder - even though I have selected it as my default printer. Both are shown in the WSD Print Provider folder.
When I open a file to print, choose the Print function, the 8139e is there. I select it and click Print. The printer sees the request, shows it in its display panel, go through motions as though it is going to print - but then stops and gives an "Error Printing to HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e printer."
I have reloaded HP Smart multiple, downloaded print software and drives several times, started from scratch and set-up the printer multiple times. I have restarted my computer and the printer. And I have been doing this for 11 days with no success. I can WiFi print to the 8710 but not to the 8139e.
Scan via WiFi works, Print to computer does not. What can I do? Thank you, Bill Gray
