Hi @Whippetwoman,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Smart Tank Plus 559 printer is not connecting to your new Virgin Internet service. Let’s go through some steps to get it back online.

Power Cycle the Printer and Router

Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.

Turn off your Virgin router for 30 seconds and then turn it back on.

Plug in and power on your printer.

Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

Normally, holding the Cancel + Wi-Fi buttons should reset the network, but if the Start button doesn’t flash, try this alternative:

Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to turn it off.

Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the wireless light starts blinking.

This should put the printer in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Reconnect the Printer to the New Network

Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.

Select Add Printer and follow the prompts to connect to your Virgin Wi-Fi network.

Ensure you enter the correct Wi-Fi password.

Check Wi-Fi Settings

Make sure the router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network, as some HP printers do not support 5 GHz-only networks.

Ensure the printer is within range of the router and not blocked by walls or devices.

Use WPS (Optional)

If your Virgin router supports WPS, press the WPS button on the router, then press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the light starts blinking.

The printer should connect automatically.

Update the HP Smart App

Make sure you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app to avoid setup issues.

I hope this helps.
