I have an HP Envy 6452e. I recently connected to a new fiber optic network. The printer is now not recognized at all on the network - not on the desktop, laptop or phones. I cannot reset the printer because it does not even show in the HP app, on bluetooth, Wifi or printer lists.

Hi @MS-33,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 6452e printer is not being recognized on your new fiber optic network, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
Verify Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the new fiber optic network. Check the printer's display panel or settings menu to confirm if it is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Restart your printer and router to ensure a fresh connection attempt.
Static IP Address:
- Assign a static IP address to your printer. This ensures that the printer always gets the same IP address from the router, which can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
- To set a static IP address, you'll typically need to access your router's settings. Refer to your router's manual for instructions on how to do this.
HP Smart App:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your devices (desktop, laptop, phones).
- Open the HP Smart app and check if it can detect your printer. The app should guide you through the setup process if the printer is not found automatically.
Printer Firmware Update:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Envy 6452e printer. Updated firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues and improve performance.
- You can typically update the printer's firmware using the HP Smart app or by visiting HP's support website.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- On your computer (Mac OS 14.5), uninstall any existing printer drivers for the HP Envy 6452e.
- Download and install the latest drivers from the HP website specific to your printer model and macOS version.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the printer.
Network Configuration Check:
- Ensure that your new fiber optic network does not have any specific settings or configurations (such as network isolation or access control) that could be preventing devices from connecting to each other.
- Check your router's settings and consult with your network administrator if needed.
Factory Reset (if necessary):
- As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on your HP Envy 6452e printer. This will reset all settings to default, which can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
- Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
