My new OfficeJet Pro 8025e will not print anything from my HP laptop, despite both being connected on the same network. My computer does recognize the printer as the default printer. The printer will not even print from Notepad from my laptop. When I opened the printer queue, it says no print jobs. Moreover, the printer will print files from my iPad without problems.
I will be returning the printer to Amazon if I cannot get this resolved.

Hi @Catalonia4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There are several possible reasons why your HP OfficeJet 8025e printer may not be printing a file from your laptop, despite being connected to the network. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check the printer status: Make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the network. Check the printer's display panel for any error messages or alerts that may indicate an issue with the printer.
- Check the network connection: Verify that your laptop is connected to the same network as the printer. You can do this by checking your network settings on your laptop.
- Check printer drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your laptop. Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Check print queue: Check the print queue on your laptop to see if the file is stuck in the queue. If so, try canceling the print job and resending it.
- Restart printer and laptop: Try restarting both the printer and your laptop to see if that resolves the issue.
- Disable firewall: Sometimes, the firewall on your laptop may be blocking the printer from communicating with your laptop. Try disabling the firewall temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
- Update printer firmware: If none of the above steps work, try updating the firmware on your printer to the latest version. You can download the firmware from the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
