@chuck30301, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the printer is printing slow. To assist you better,

  • How is the printer connected to the PC?
  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check the speed. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

For now, kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Slow printing

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@chuck30301

If the speed of copies is fine, it means the printer hardware is working fine.

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the PC

If you experience this issue only when printing from a website, try different browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox.

Also, try printing a PDF or Word document to check the speed.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
