We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you've recently installed a new wireless network and need to update the network settings on your HP DeskJet GT 5820 printer, follow these steps:
Restore Network Defaults:
- From the control panel of your printer, press the Wireless button.
- Simultaneously press the Cancel button to enter the Wireless Menu.
- Use the arrow buttons to navigate to “Restore Network Settings,” and then confirm your selection.
Reconnect to a New Network:
- Press the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time to print the Network Configuration Page.
- Use the HP Smart app (available on your smartphone) or HP software on your computer to reconnect the printer to the new network.
- Download the HP Smart app from here.
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new printer.
- During this process, the app will prompt you to connect the printer to your new wireless network.
Manually Adding via EWS (Embedded Web Server):
- Print a Network Configuration Page to find your printer's IP address.
- Enter this IP address into a web browser to access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- Go to the Network tab and update the Wi-Fi settings with your new network details.
Hope this helps!
