If the printer is offline you can cancel the job by pressing a button.  You can select "cancel" from the console if there is one.

Unfortunately, when the printer comes back online then the PC or other device will resend the job to the printer.  You need to cancel at the PC to prevent the job from being resent.

The two youtube videos below show how to cancel a print job. There is additional advice for when you have multiple print jobs that all need to be canceled.

Cancel Windows 11 print job and the queue

How to cancel in MacOS

Frequently when someehing does not print there is a tendency to click "print" a second or third time. There will be one job stuck printing and several jobs waiting to print. You need to cancel all the jobs waiting before you cancel the one that is stuck as explained below for Windows.

Press the pause button on the printer or turn it off. Do not press the "red X" or cancel the job at the printer. The OS will just resend the job again.
Bring up "printers and scanners" in the windows search bar.
Find the printer you want to check.
Select "Open print queue"

If more than one job then cancel all jobs except the one stuck printing.

Then pause the one stuck printing.
Then cancel that job.
Only after doing the above ----
You may have to turn the printer off and back on unless it has the "red X" or a button to cancel the current job it is holding.

Let me know what you find out.
