Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.
HP Recommended
HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

For Information: Check the date and time settings on your printer.

Several people have reported the same problem - with nothing able to solve the issue from the set of standard actions given in the troubleshooting details from the instant ink or HP Smart apps etc. (restarting printer/router/computer; alter network protocols, change DNS settings, factory reset, disable/enable network services, separate 2.4 and 5Mhz wireless networks etc etc etc!)

Some people have found that the root cause of the problem is that the date and time on the printer have, for some reason, changed from the current date and time - this info is buried in some earlier problem reports but is not easy to find.

I have just spent hours trying to fix the issue including a call to HP Support where I was advised that as my printer was so old I should just buy a new one!

Fortunately did a more detailed search of the forum and came across the date/time issue.

Perhaps HP should add this to the list of things to check ...
