HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer

I have a OfficeJet 8035 printer and all of a sudden I can't connect to the Wi-Fi and I've tried doing a factory reset but that option is grey and says it's been locked by the person who set up the printer. Please help as I need to print some things off asap.

Hi @jrgkkg0609,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with your HP OfficeJet 8035 printer. When it comes to Wi-Fi connectivity issues and factory resets, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem. Please follow these suggestions.

  • Restart your printer and Wi-Fi router: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and also turn off your Wi-Fi router. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in and turn them on again. This simple step can often resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check Wi-Fi signal and distance: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and there are no obstructions blocking the signal. If possible, move your printer closer to the router to establish a stronger connection.
  • Verify Wi-Fi settings: Double-check your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Make sure you're entering the correct credentials on your printer's control panel when attempting to connect.
  • Restart Wi-Fi network: If other devices are connected to your Wi-Fi network but the printer is not, you may need to restart your Wi-Fi network. This can involve power cycling your router and modem.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the HP support website and search for the OfficeJet 8035 printer model to see if there are any available firmware updates. Updating the printer's firmware can often resolve compatibility issues and improve connectivity.
  • Connect via USB: If you're unable to connect your printer to Wi-Fi, consider using a USB cable to establish a direct connection between your printer and computer. This will allow you to print without relying on a wireless connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
