HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My OfficeJet Pro 8715 is not connecting to my Netgear Nighthawk mesh network. It was working fine before today and now is not. I've tried running through all of the wizards on the printer, resetting network settings, unplugging/resetting both the printer and router... nothing works. The printer sees the network but will not connect when I type the password. All other devices are connecting to the network with no issues, so the password is good. I can switch back to the original wifi network and the printer will connect here as well - the issue, as of today, is only related to the mesh connection. On top of that, I'm an idiot when it comes to network mechanics, so assume you're talking to a fifth grader if you reply.

I'm about to just buy a new printer and hope it works better, but before I do, any insights or thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to connect the printer to the router, I am glad to assist you.

Restore the printer to the original network settings

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Network Setup.

3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.

4. Touch Yes.

5. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel display to set up wireless communication.

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless).

2. Touch ( Settings ).

3. Touch Wireless Settings.

4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup.

5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

Thanks for the response. I had done all of this before, and tried it again, to no avail. The printer sees the mesh network and prompts me to enter the password, which I do, but then will not connect. The password I'm using is the correct one as I'm able to connect other devices to the network. Any additional thoughts or suggestions? The network is a NetGear Nighthawk MK63 AX1800 WiFi 6 Mesh. It was working fine... and then it wasn't.  Could the WiFi 6 be a factor?
