Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm having the same exact problem as ShellyJ1963 with my OfficeJet Pro 9010 HP all in one printer. I had the printer connected to an ethernet cable and when I tried to switch to Wi-Fi network this option was not available. The Wi-Fi light is completely off. When I try to turn it on there’s no option for the wireless set up wizard. It continuously says I need an ethernet cord to go into change the Wi-Fi. But when I put the cord in then there’s no option for Wi-Fi that shows up on my display. When I go into Network set up, I get a message that says I have to connect an ethernet cable. But when I do the wireless option does not appear. I have performed a hard reset from the "support menu" as suggested by DCOZ60, but the Wi-Fi radio was not turned on. Please, what can I do to turn my Wi-Fi radio back on so that I can use the Wi-Fi on my printer to print?

Thanks Irwin6. I followed your instructions, but the printer is still only possible to connect to internet via an Ethernet cable. I was able to check the firmware status and the printer has the latest update.

After disconnecting the Ethernet cable and then turning the printer off and on again, I always get a message that an Ethernet cable is not connected. The wireless lamp on the control panel does not light up. The wireless network option is not shown in the printer's display menu, nor is it possible to access the settings for this type of connection. I tried then to “restore network settings”, but even after that the wireless light does not blink.

In summary, the printer is up to date and works correctly via Ethernet connection, but it is no longer possible to setup a wireless access to internet.
