Product: Officejet Pro 7740

Wireless set-up wizard cannot locate our 5G network.  I have entered the details manually with no luck either!  TIA for advice!

Hi,

An HP Officejet Pro 7740 printer supports 2.4GHz wireless operations only, it does not support dual-band wireless or a 5GHz band.

 

Please contact your ISP and make sure that 2.4GHz wireless networking is enabled with a unique SSID and not an identical one to the 5GHz band, then connect the printer to the 2.4GHz wireless.

I having a similar issue. I have a 5G network. Both my Hp printers were working perfectly until I installed HP Smart. Now only the 4 year old Envy 7640 works. i tried everything to make it show Officejet pro 7740 is online. I should never have installed this software. Huge waste of 4 hours.
